Stage 18 Chicago is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing programming, community, office space, and resources to independent filmmakers, visual artists, and entrepreneurs.

OFFICE SPACE

Stage 18 provides its members the option of a 24/7 shared workspace, personal desk, or a private office, all within a collaborative environment. This includes access to conference rooms, meeting spaces, a communal kitchen, and more

MEET OUR FOUNDERS

 

ANGIE GAFFNEY, CO-FOUNDER

Angie Gaffney is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Stage 18 Chicago. A graduate of DePaul University, she has spent the last decade developing independent film, television, and digital content. Notable independent projects include the Stage 18 pilot Public Housing Unit, Jennifer Reeder's Signature Move, and the upcoming films Monuments and Killing Eleanor. Angie teaches at Second City's Harold Ramis Film School, and has held adjunct professor positions at DePaul University and Columbia College. She is the Founder of Chicago-based production company Black Apple Media, and previously served as the Executive Producer at The Onion. Angie was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado; shout outs go to her family, her man, and her high-school softball coach.

ALEXANDER PISSIOS, CO-FOUNDER

Alexander Pissios is the Founder/CEO Of Cinespace Chicago Film Studios. Along with his Uncle, Nikoloas Mirkopoulos, Pissios purchased the former Ryerson Inc. complex on the Southwest Side of Chicago, and opened for business in May 2011. Pissios is a born and raised Chicagoan. He is a 1990 graduate of Maine East High School and holds a BA from Northeastern Illinois University. Prior to founding Cinespace Chicago, Alexander was a Chicago real estate developer. Alexander lives with his wife Patricia and four children in Hawthorne Woods. Coming from a large Greek Orthodox family you can always expect Alexander to greet you with open arms. Opa!
