Chicago Media Standards is an initiative to codify a shared set of values regarding sexual harassment, assault, and discrimination. Please join us Thursday, June 27th from 6:30PM-8:30PM at Stage 18 for a kick-off event that will include a panel, reading of the standards, Q&A and a celebration of inclusivity. Panelists will include (panelist names). Together, we can affect industry-wide change and build a better arts community that supports and sustains artists of all gender, racial, religious, and cultural identities. Join the conversation.

Panelists:

Heather Becker:

As a partner at Laner Muchin, Heather concentrates her practice in all types of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment and retaliation litigation, wage and hour and wage payment claims, civil rights and constitutional claims, and many more.

Chakka Reeves:

Chakka is a creative coach, creative producer and writer. Her passion for art and media is equally matched by her desire to understand people and create environments for creative expression, personal fulfillment and social change, which prompted her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Maryland College Park.
